Description
WILLPOWER – what is the driving force of will?
It's hard to grow anything in a garden with hard, overgrown soil. Before I can plant, the soil needs to be worked to make it airy and light.
A plow is shaped so that it cuts its way through hard-packed soil, and it turns upside down on the top layer of soil. Stones that come into view can be removed and the soil worked. But a plow is of little use if no muscle or mechanical power is put behind it.
It is the same with my will. The will is a thought behind which action is put. If it is only a thought, the field will never be plowed, it is useless to sow, and there will be nothing to reap.
Willpower is something that can be trained, and "it's going uphill that you develop muscles."
An important driving force for will is encouragement! Without costing a calorie, an encouraging word can provide the impetus that the will needs to go for something and actually complete the job!
THE STORY BEHIND THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART
In 2006 I was challenged to have an exhibition, and this was the start of Hjertespråket. It eventually became over 100 different illustrations of words for themes that touch the heart and life. The metaphors were wrapped in hearts, and the images were painted on canvas with a palette knife. I experienced that the images created understanding, communicated deeply, touched hearts and functioned across languages and cultures. It was established as a separate company, I wrote texts and books, used the images in courses and teaching, created online courses and a membership portal.
They are inspired and created from a Christian perspective on life, but the metaphors work across all religious denominations. The original images are not for sale, but the images are for sale as prints in various sizes.
