Description
When I was studying in Bergen, I often visited the zoological museum. In the attic there they had a collection of birds, including many different species of Toucans and Hornbills. It was as if the stuffed birds followed you with their eyes – and some of them had long eyelashes. I loved drawing sketches from there. Otherwise, the motif is inspired by the periods I have lived in Hawaii and Fiji!
The painting was one of my first large paintings, and it is painted in acrylic with a palette knife on handmade thick watercolor paper. I have the original in my living room, and it is not for sale, but it is possible to buy a print! I also have it as a card! Maybe something for a child's room?
Cards and small pictures (9.5 x 13.5 cm) are offset printed and without signature. The outer dimensions of the passepartout are 18 x 24 cm and the outer dimensions of the frames are 22 x 27 cm.
Larger digital prints of the motifs can also be made upon request. Contact the artist for sizes and prices.
