Description
STRENGTH – thebig choices in life
A tree was once a seed that took many years to grow large. A tree will need a lot of space, but also plenty of light and nutrition.
The crown is the part of the tree that is visible to the eye. The leaves provide photosynthesis, which allows important nutrients to be transported throughout the plant. The roots are not visible to the eye, but are vital for the tree's growth and development. They provide nutrition for flowers, leaves and fruit.
Both what is above and what is below the earth are important. Both parts nourish each other, and together they can illustrate strength. In your own life, the physical will similarly nourish the mental, and vice versa. Together they are an important prerequisite for strength.
The trees in the garden can also symbolize the big choices I make in life, the ones that take up a lot of time and effort. They can shade and take nourishment from other plants, or they can grow together in a beautiful community.
THE STORY BEHIND THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART
In 2006 I was challenged to have an exhibition, and this was the start of Hjertespråket. It eventually became over 100 different illustrations of words for themes that touch the heart and life. The metaphors were wrapped in hearts, and the images were painted on canvas with a palette knife. I experienced that the images created understanding, communicated deeply, touched hearts and functioned across languages and cultures. It was established as a separate company, I wrote texts and books, used the images in courses and teaching, created online courses and a membership portal.
They are inspired and created from a Christian perspective on life, but the metaphors work across all religious denominations. The original images are not for sale, but the images are for sale as prints in various sizes.
