LOVE …without demanding anything in return

The love illustrated here comes from the heart. It is an eye that looks at another person with deep respect and appreciation, without judgment, comparison, or favoritism. It is a picture of how God looks at you and me.

Love often involves strong emotions, but here the focus is not on erotic love or sex. It is about being loved without deserving it, about receiving without expecting anything in return. To experience love, it is important that it is affirmed through words and actions.

Infants who are loved without being able to give anything in return experience unconditional love.

In order for me to experience love, I must accept it. I can try to reject love, but it is difficult. For love is stronger than hate, it conquers evil, and it can melt all opposition.

Love sees, brings reconciliation, creates life – and it touches the heart!

THE STORY BEHIND THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART

In 2006 I was challenged to have an exhibition, and this was the start of Hjertespråket. It eventually became over 100 different illustrations of words for themes that touch the heart and life. The metaphors were wrapped in hearts, and the images were painted on canvas with a palette knife. I experienced that the images created understanding, communicated deeply, touched hearts and functioned across languages and cultures. It was established as a separate company, I wrote texts and books, used the images in courses and teaching, created online courses and a membership portal.

They are inspired and created from a Christian perspective on life, but the metaphors work across all religious denominations. The original images are not for sale, but the images are for sale as prints in various sizes.
