PORTRAITS OF ANIMALS

In 1992 I submitted my master's thesis in illustration at the Bergen School of Arts and Crafts, and the theme was the illustration of animals. Actually a project aimed at the World Wildlife Foundation, and I illustrated an entire ABC book. Behind each motif are countless hours of sketches and studies of each individual animal. The desire was to get up close and personal to capture the personality. The motifs were then simplified and I made them into a collage. Each individual image is cut or cut out of self-made marbled paper. The illustrations have been exhibited in San Francisco, among other places, and some of them are for sale at the zoo in Kristiansand.

The pictures are available as prints in various sizes that can be put in glass and framed. They can also be printed on canvas or on metal! Great for children's rooms, but also for adults! Feel free to buy several that can be hung together, so they are not alone!
