Description
PASSION - what am I passionate about?
My commitment can be compared to a fire. A fire needs to be lit, and to keep it alive I need to keep adding new wood. Otherwise, the fire will die out. If it gets out of control, it can also be destructive.
A fire provides warmth and energy. When I work on something that engages me, I can experience the same thing. I can feel a burning zeal, which in turn gives me new strength. I can get tired, but not exhausted. After a long work session on something I'm passionate about, I can actually come out with a profit, and with new energy.
I can also experience that others can be ignited if I am, because commitment is contagious. Many new fires can be lit with a single flame.
We are engaged by different things, and I, for my part, must learn to recognize my own engagement. It can then be an important driving force that gives new impetus to both myself and others.
THE STORY BEHIND THE LANGUAGE OF THE HEART
In 2006 I was challenged to have an exhibition, and this was the start of Hjertespråket. It eventually became over 100 different illustrations of words for themes that touch the heart and life. The metaphors were wrapped in hearts, and the images were painted on canvas with a palette knife. I experienced that the images created understanding, communicated deeply, touched hearts and functioned across languages and cultures. It was established as a separate company, I wrote texts and books, used the images in courses and teaching, created online courses and a membership portal.
They are inspired and created from a Christian perspective on life, but the metaphors work across all religious denominations. The original images are not for sale, but the images are for sale as prints in various sizes.
